Skenes with the old seams would have to start his slider behind the right handed batters box. It wouldn't even be fair.

Wish we could’ve seen Skenes in purple and Gold for 2 seasons

Skenes, McDonald, Nola, Gausman, Lange

Agreed...Great pitchers all of them. Besides Skene's did any of them throw 100+ and mid 90's late in the 6th or 7th innings

McDonald
Different era too because Ben was used a LOT.
Ben McDonald
Aaron Nola
Skenes
Skenes has potential to be the best at some point.

Skip said Ben was better than Skenes in a recent interview. But what does Skip know compared to people on here?

Ben would have a much higher SO avg against todays hitters.

It's Skenes and it's not particularly close

Of course Skip is going to choose his own player. Means nothing

McDonald played for LSU for 3 years and also played on the basketball team. He won the Golden Spikes, the Olympic gold medal and lead LSU to Omaha twice. Dude was a complete stud.
Skenes is a really good pitcher that is using LSU to improve his draft stock. I don’t blame him and I’m glad he’s here but McDonald was a workhorse and true Tiger.

Ben also pitched out of the pen on sundays?

Laxton and Renaudo should be added to the second tier.

Single season? Or career?
Single season. I’d say Skenes all day. He’s going to break the single season record for K’s per 9
