Chris Carrier blasting some Tulane receiver in the 1980's.

Clint Stoerner getting hit so hard in 1995 that we went to the wrong bench.

Speaking of Chad Jones, anyone got an update on how he's doing?

Chad Jones vs Arky in 09. Was in the SS, thought he killed Adams.

The year we played ULM ('10?), Jai Eugene absolutely leveled a guy on punt return. I think the guy had to be carried off.

This seriously needs a sticky. #1 reason why I have loved LSU football so much through the years.

Michael Clayton against Auburn in 2001. The game was moved to the end of the season because of 9/11. Auburn came out and got a Personal Foul for dancing on the eye, so Saban onsides kicked the opening kick and we recovered, Scored a TD on the first drive and kicked it off. Michael Clayton flat out broke Roderick Hood in half, and the entire crowd in TS went "oooohhhh" at once. Awesome.

Funny personal story on that hit:
My brother, who is a Bamafan, and I were sitting in the South EZ Lower Bowl in the middle of a bunch of Barners. He was wearing an LSU sweatshirt . When Clayton knocked that dude out, he stood up and proceeded to give him a full 10 count. Man those aubs were pissed. They ragged him and the classless "LSU" fans that whole game. Sometime in the 4th QTR after a barrage of insults from the visiting fans, he stood up and removed the LSU sweatshirt to reveal his true colors as a Gump. It was hilarious, they threw all manner of drinks, food, programs, etc. all simultaneously.

FWIW I was in the NEZ for the CJ hit on Arky in 09. I was field level in the handicap section and that hit was wicked. When they threw the flag the whole NEZ went ballistic.

The two best hits I've seen were us sacking Auburn's QB in the end zone, maybe Gabe Northern, and Ole Miss ear holing Michael Clayton after he scored a touchdown and relaxed a bit. Both of them were unreal.

2001 LSU vs Tulane...Tulanes CB rushed and absolutely obliterated Marcus Randall and he did a backflip from the hit that dude put on him. Easily the most intense hit i have ever seen in TS. Today that would of been flagged no doubt

there was a hit in the 2006 kentucky game that was fricking brutal. i don't remember who it was, and it's hard to find footage on because it wasn't televised

I think you are remembering Craig Steltz getting hit by his old HS teammate. Busted his chin, they stitched him up and he came back out and played the rest of the game.I could be wrong, didnt check

Clayton received a couple of unwarranted personal fouls for legal hits in his time here. There was one block near a sideline that decleated a guy and drew a flag. Nothing illegal about the hit. It was just so vicious that I think the ref assumed it was illegal.
