W Davis and Eric Martin, for those of you who say only WD you IMHO are not looking at full body of work of both. WD had some unreal grabs (2 versus nd come to mind) but ET was at least equal he just made it look easier.

I'm a young'n, but I can't remember anyone as sure handed as Juice. And I'm not talking about just at LSU.

Best hands that I have seen:
No WR list can be taken serious without Carlos Carson. Dude had awesome speed and hands and a 10yr NFL career to back it up.
Unfortunately his youtube highlight video was taken down for copyright complaints

Since 1980, when I have been watching closely, there have been many great Tiger receivers. But there are two who stand head and shoulders above the rest in terms of having great hands. They are Eric Martin and Jarvis Landry. Before Landry I would consider it apostasy to say another receiver matched EM. These two are not exceeded by any receiver I've ever seen. They could not only make the wildest catches, they could do so while a defender was lowering the boom on them. I'll give the circus catch award to JL, but no one could catch in traffic like EM. I shudder to remember some of the licks he took while hauling in one-handers.

Chris Jackson without a doubt.

Did he have the best hands ever at LSU?
Josh Reed was an insane reciever. I dont think he had hands as good as Landry's but he could get open even if every guy on the defense knew the ball was coming to him. He still holds the SEC single game recieving record which was against Bama (it was awesome!)
From the SEC Recordbook:
Single game no. of catches;
1. 19— Josh Reed, LSU vs. Alabama (293 yards) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2001
Single game total recieving yds:
1. 293— Josh Reed, LSU vs. Alabama (19 catches). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2001
Season total recieving yards:
1. 1,740— Josh Reed, LSU (94 catches) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2001
Season YPG:
1. 145.0— Josh Reed, LSU (1,740 in 12 games) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2001
Season total receptions:
2. 94— Josh Reed, LSU (1,740 yards) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2001
Career Recieving Yards:
3. 3,001— Josh Reed, LSU (167 catches) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1999-01
Career YPG:
2. 96.8— Josh Reed, LSU (3,001 in 31 games) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1999-01
IN GOD WE TRUST - ALL OTHERS BRING DATA!
This is just the highlights...

You must not have seen the 2001 Alabama game... How does somebody make 19 catches in one game and the other team knows its comin.

I guess my question wasn't necessarily who was the best receiver. I know a lot of players will have better stats than Landry.

Remember that catch at the back of the end zone against GT in the Peach? It got no better.

Try to find a series of catches like Jarvis made this year and last by any lsu receiver and you won't come close. Clayton and bowe were great and so was Martin but Landry is on another level in my opinion. Can you imagine if Landry has Clayton's size? Wow

I'm gonna have to say Tommy Banks, with that Beckman dude a close 1B

Bowe after Lasik
Buster had waaaaay better hands than Bowe, even after his LASIK. Never dropped anything. Bowe was just more of a big play guy. I think he got open better, esp against more physical coverage.

Davis was sick. I'd also mention Eric Martin, Tony Moss, Larry Foster, Todd Kinchen, Abram Booty, Josh Reed, Michael Clayton, and Dwayne Bowe.
