Scooter played RB on the GO TEAM in 1958 for “ PEPSODENT” Paul Deitzel.

He wore No 23. Small, but gritty back from Mississippi. Couldn’t beat out a guy named Billy Cannon to start on the White Team.


I didn’t know he coached for us.

Yeah, Coach Purvis coached for Coach McClendon through all of Coach Mac's tenure. After Coach McClendon was let go, I think Purvis managed the PMAC for a while.

A lot of the coaches at that time were former LSU players - Purvis, Peavey, McCarty, LeBlanc, Stokley, etc.

Bo Peep. (Semjase nickname for Pelini 2.0)

Antonio. (Nikki Fargas)

Softball Nikki. (Semjase nickname for Torina)

BBQ Buddy. (Multiple) Take your pick of any Coordinator/Assistant that wasn't very good, but hung around because they were Buddy-Buddy with the HC.
