Congratulations to the man Bill Belichick described as the best pure passer he's ever seen. Only career-ending injuries have prevented Bert from making it into Canton. Hopefully the veteran's committee will follow up on that now that he's in the CFHoF.

Remember watching him play on the freshman team - had good turnouts for those games. He was something to watch.

There's a committee, and he was just elected.

The CFHOF elects its members, and for some reason, they don't induct them for another 13 months, first with a formal ceremony in New York, then another function for TV a few weeks later in Atlanta.

he is the reason I'm a LSU fan. Loved him as a COLT when I was a kid in and found out about his career at LSU and therefore was turned into a Tiger fan since

Great guy and an awesome QB. Sat next to him on a plane from Dallas to BR over 4 decades ago and he asked me if I needed a ride home. Unfortunately my boyfriend was waiting for me at the airport.

I talked to a former WR that played with Bert. He said it hurt his hands to catch Bert's passes. Said you could hear them coming at you in practice when he ran his routes.

Why isn't Y.A. Tittle in the CFHOF? I don't know much about his college career, but considering he was the 6th pick in the draft and is in the pro HOF, I'm guessing he was pretty damn good in college too.
