SEVENTH!!!

10/13/10

Ties Magic for the second most triple doubles in his rookie season. Second only to Oscar Robinson.

Ben continues to make LSU fans proud.

Thank You Benjamin

Ben is such a fantastic ambassador to LSU and the LSU brand Will goat Wade is trying to build. he's going to be a recruiting tool for many, many years to come.

cheers to tgoat

His team is barely above .500 and is 5-5 in their last 10. They 13.5 games back.

But hey, he got a triple double. Way to go Ben!

That’s actually pretty unbelievable considering where Philly has been the past couple years

I thought he'd be a good NBA player, but perhaps not this good. He's on his way to superstardom.

Wonder how good he'd be now if CWW had coached him

He wouldn't have made it under WW. Not saying he's a bad guy, but it was pretty clear he came to LSU and had been promised he could pretty much do whatever he wanted (bring his own film crew, decide when and what position he would play, etc.). These are things Wade wouldn't put up with. Hell, go back and listen to Wade's presser at VCU when he goes off on a couple of players that didn't wear team issued travel gear.

Don't think Simmons would have last long under Wade.

Hope Simmons the best, but racking up big individual stats on an average team seems to be him MO. And no, I don't follow him like other LSU players because he seemed to have a 'me first' persona that I'm not a big a fan of.

More triple doubles than credits earned at LSU. Way to go Ben! What a poster child for student athletes at LSU for years to come.

Love all the haters! The kid could have went anywhere he wanted. If it wasn't for the stupid NCAA he would have went #1 out of high school. Don't blame him for the NCAA making him 1 and done, and having a piss poor coach. I for one am thankful he chose LSU.

GEAUX BEN - FOREVER LSU!

And he chose to go to a school without a chance to compete for a championship. That doesn't really scream "competitor".

There are several "1 and done" kids that play college basketball every year. Most of them actually try to win that one season while in college. Crazy thought, huh?

I agree with you on that point.

So he should have went to an elite basketball school? Like going to bama for football?
