In Simmons' 69 career games in the NBA, he has put up more triple doubles (9) in a single season than any one player in a single season on the following teams:

Miami Heat
Milwaukee Bucks
Toronto Raptors
Indiana Pacers
Atlanta Hawks
Orlando Magic
Charlotte Hornetts
Utah Jazz
Memphis Grizzly's
Los Angeles Clippers

Wonder what the guy would have looked like at LSU with Wade at the helm, provided Simmons gave a shite...He is fun to watch the the Association though.

ETA: THIS IS ONLY FOR A SIGNLE SEASON...not nearly as impressive as my original claim. I completely misread the tweet that prompted me to post this. Goddamn it. Another reason i should not go to work hungover...In my defense, the SC tweet disclosed that it was a single season record in the fine print...

This is embarrassing.

No doubt but it definitely hammers home the fact he should have never played college basketball.

It just teased the shite outta LSU fans.

No way that is correct. These teams have only had 8 triple doubles in almost 40 years? No

I tried to tie it in to LSU there at the end.

We will see how long it lasts. Chicken, my thread wants to live...

I still don’t believe it. I dont trust ESPN. I’ll go back and watch all those games and then get back to you.

Those numbers are single season records for those teams in that time span.

LSU fans are all about winning. Simmons is all about his stats. So it should be obvious why LSU fans don't particularly care for him.

As a rockets fan you shouldn’t not be pushing a narrative that a triple double is a note worthy accomplishment. You are buying into a fake news narrative that it is a better game than others just because of the arbitrary number 10.

Triple doubles are pretty rare outside of a few players who are triple double machines

Most people who are dishing out assists aren’t also crashing boards, and vice versatility.

Google tells me Lebron had 9 with the Heat.

No other Heat player has ever done it?

well i can say with 100% certainty that the Grizzlies haven't. They only have 4 in the 23 year history of the franchise. One each by Pau Gasol, Zach Randolph, Marc Gasol, and Mike Miller. It wouldn't shock me if the rest didn't either. They're not exactly common.
