Lebron James didn't make the playoffs till his THIRD NBA season despite being a great player those first 2 years.

Previous post was harsh. But I'm no fan of Ben Simmons after he essentially threw LSU under the bus after he left. Would like to see him play soon though

I'm just salty about his time here tbh. I get that kids just show up for one year because they have to just to get to the league. But dude couldn't even manage a 2.0? Only other player to be ineligible for the POY was Melo I believe. Just rubbed me the wrong way I guess.
Regardless of how I feel about him, I can't argue with the fact that he brought recognition to the school. We had so many nationally televised games last year.

Because he WAS THE TEAM in Cleveland those first few years. You dont think he had a little help once he got to Miami ...and then Cleveland the second time around?
There were 4 other guys on that team averaging double figures in points and they still couldn't get to the promised land...even with Ben's big numbers because he wasnt a leader and was simply biding his time for the paycheck.

Maybe Ben should have gotten a little more help in games he put up 28/17, 21/20, 20/10, 23/12, 15/18, 13/14, 21/12, 17/11 and we still managed to lose.
But nah, let's just all go full retard and lash out on the freshman who put up dominant numbers. He should have averaged 25/15 so we won a few more games instead of 20/12.

Crazy how LSU played pretty good basketball once Hornsby got healthy and before Quarterman completely fell off the rails
Not to mention you saw similar criticism about taking over games in LeBron's first year with Miami, despite being the best player in the world

If you watched the 30/30 episode on him called "One and Done" you'd know he was a spoiled prick. He'll implode in the NBA. I think Jones was the only coach who would not have sent him to the curb before the season ever got started. Its obvious they had an understanding of what he would be made to do regarding academics which was nothing and that's exactly what he did. Nothing good could have made of that by any coach.
