Ben MCDonald is by far the most fun to listen to in college baseball not even close.

I don’t think it has a lot to do with being a Homer just Ben is the Gold Standard now IMO.
I did also like Harold Reynolds a lot back in the day during the World Series.

Agreed…he adds a lot of insight to the game. I will typically watch any game he does

Agree on both counts. I like McDonald and used to like Harold Reynolds back in the day.
I also used to like Kyle Peterson, but he has gotten really bad lately, IMHO

Reynolds is now on MLB Network. He is not good. And he did get fired from ESPN on allegations of sexual misconduct.
McDonald is really good as an analyst. He has improved so much from when he started years ago.

Never heard the whole story but sounds like he had some “me too” moments with women at ESPN I believe.
Anyway I do wish LSU would pay Ben Big League money and keep him for all of our games but it’s possible Ben wants to do both which is probably the case. Watching Major League Baseball and College are 2 different animals.

Ben McDonald’s contract is with ESPN not LSU. He does the early SECNetwork+ games for LSU as a warm up for the Orioles and then he does the postseason for ESPN.

The broadcast today was so much nicer without the MLB guys in the booth. Why they insist on bringing in announcers for the CWS that haven't seen a game all year is beyond me.
