Deer season starts October 1st. Now is when bow hunters like Ben move their stands around.

I’m actually going to do this tomorrow.

Understood. Just seemed odd being mid July. For the record, I just stated hunting last year, so its new to me.

He also set it up now probably because he had the week off with the all star break and will be gone for the most part til bow season opens first of October.

Praise Lord Jesus and Father God he’s going to be ok. Love me some Ben McDonald, and this came so close to being the end!

Yes exactly. And as others have stated, the timing is exactly right.

Get well soon, Ben

It’s a good way to paralyze yourself.

I knew a guy who fell out of a tree stand like that, and didn’t break his neck on the fall, but knocked himself out and landed in an awkward position with his neck and head that blocked the flow of air and he suffocated right there. He was found hours later after not returning from his hunt. They speculate that he fell asleep and fell out. He was a young guy in his 20s as well.

True, except we do get the one weekend in September for a velvet buck in MS.

Enjoy God’s handiwork today.

Jeez that’s scary. Moving and setting up tree stands is dangerous. We all know people who have fell out of tree stands and it’s usually pretty serious. Seems like Ben is very lucky to only have those injuries. I hate those damn tree stands man.
