That's just ignorant. There are 120 0r so FBS coaches and you'd crap your pants if LSU hired a FCS coach. Keyboard diarrhea

“ Saban does NOT want Kiffin in the SEC “

Yeah, the guy with a handful of NC rings is concerned bout a guy who has Accomplished very little in his head coaching career to this point in time.

Lane Kiffin

i do not get this obsession with Kiffen as HC. he has been a HC 4 times. 3 times it was a failure and while the 4th does look good so far its a tad too early to say he's proven he has changed. but i must admit he might be the best play caller in cfb.

any semi successful coordinator has better resume than O so i dont think we could do much worse.

Not a huge Kiffin fan because of his attitude but I don't hold USC against him. They were dealing with sanctions when he got that job.

Really the Raiders were his only failure IMO.

Mike Leach is simply not SEC caliber. You think Les pissed you off...imagine this fool talking about his favorite Easter candy after a loss to ole miss

This is pointless. We have one of the top 4 teams in the conference from a talent perspective according to other sites. Numerous articles have been written about all of our super talent and how dominant our defense will be.

No reason to think we finish any lower than 3rd in the conference. If we do, that's on the coach.

Even with the sanctions, Kiffin definitely underachieved in a relatively weak Pac-12. Which is why he was fired.

Tennessee absolutely would be a failure. He totally screwed that program into chaos that they still haven’t recovered from. Would he do that again to another program? Probably not, but it’s definitely a black eye on his resume.

Kiffin May do very well at LSU, but anyone arguing for Kiffin and pointing to previous successes is rewriting history, because he has not had success as a HC at some programs with some very robust resources.

Kiffin is and always will be a planB/PlanC target for a top10 program like LSU... he’s had 2 top jobs and the final outcomes weren’t good. No major college football program would make Kiffin its top target based on his history. LSU would go with Aranda before Kiffin.

It’s also worth pointing out... even if one thinks Kiffin is in play for LSU, the Orgeron-LSU divorce will be ugly and probably messy, and Kiffin-Orgeron are buds.

Maybe. They guy knows how to get the most out of his QBs and he knows how to score points. You can pay some figurehead OC peanuts and pay Aranda whatever it takes to keep churning out top defenses and LSU would be scary.

Les’s press conferences never bothered me. I like a little character and excitement.

Kiff would happily step over O’s body to take this job. I have no doubt about that.

so you're telling me that LSU will cease to be Orgeron's dream job again?

Les never pissed me off with his press conferences. I actually enjoyed them for the most part. The people that got pissed off by Les's press conferences are the same people that hated the man for wearing a jacket during the games and eating grass on the sidelines. In other words, the people that didn't like Les in the first place.

Some of those people are the same ones that go on and on about what a character Leach is and how great it would be to have him as a coach. It has nothing to do with how they conduct their press conferences. It's got everything to do with not liking Miles. Plain and simple.

Kiffin is a big risk!!!! Even though he was successful this past year as a HC, he literally crippled USC and UT before he left those programs. It is a very big risk! And I don't think he will stay long if he were to be successful at LSU, he will bolt right back to the NFL.
