Even though there is almost zero chance we would be able to get him, I’d certainly at least try and reach out to Scott Frost as well. You never know.
Might just be me but Frost would never leave Nebraska for LSU, not now.

I agree. He would have to grow stagnant at Nebraska to even consider leaving and, at that point, the luster will have worn off.

Kiffin is ready, but LSU isn't ready just yet...
I believe this version of Kiffin and LSU would be an absolute monster.

Sadly almost anybody is an upgrade compared to Orgeron. Luckily we shouldn't have to worry about Alleva getting a chance to screw it up again either. Him and his buddy O can get lost at the same time.

an offensive minded coach with a proven history of qb development.

Imagine this, Kiffin HC/OC, Aranda DC, Orgeron Defensive Tackle/Recruiting Coord.
Of course this is Pre Orgeron the HC

It wouldn't implode if a coach was hired that had success as either position.
I basically agree with that. What we would have had in almost every case OTHER than someone who seemed like a slam dunk 100% perfect choice would have been some wait and see coupled with the feeling the choice was underwhelming.

Orgeron just wasn't qualified to be a coach at McNeese st much less LSU.
I want to follow up on this. I have said since the beginning that his Ole Miss days SHOULD NOT have been some career ender for him. But, what it SHOULD have done was force him to go back and find a small school in a "lesser" conference and actually build something...make a winner where there was none...put his own stamp on a program and PROVE he was worthy of another shot.
Had he done that sometime between not being retained by SC after his interim gig there and taking LSU's job, most people would have been on board with him being an acceptable candidate for this job.
Instead, he said, "frick all that hard work, bullshite," and took the typical Louisiana route and used his connections to get a job he was otherwise not qualified for and then started getting his friends paid.
but...had he actually earned this job by going to a place LIKE McNeese and building a winner and then maybe a second at a Power 5 conference team but at a smaller mid ;level program, then he'd have earned a second chance.

LSU needs a dickhead of a head coach, no corny team first bullshite slogans like what Orgeron uses.
it would find its identity and assert it really quick under Kiffin.

Kiffin but Alleva doesn't have any balls.

If it is anyone other than Saban, the bitches will still cry.

luckily it won't be alleva's decision.

Team Orgeron thinks people don't like him bc he's not saban.
nah, people don't like him bc he's Orgeron.

like them all sans macintyre. i think he's in for a rough year at CU. i understand it's a tough job but that is not the kind of hire to turn things around.
my pick is joey freshwater but i'm not sure LSU will have the stones to make that hire.
Posted on 4/13/18 at 3:02 pm to Nissanmaxima
Bring back Scott Woodward and have him hire Chris Petersen or Lane Kiffin.

I dont understand what has given anyone impressions that Alleva will be fired if Orgeron doesnt work out. Nobody in any position to terminate Alleva cares about a championship football program. If they did, Alleva would already be gone for the way his "search" happened.
