6&6 Kansas St has accepted the Liberty Bowl, reports are they still would have gone had they lost yesterday

As reported by the Collegian's Tim Everson, who just happened to overhear the conversation: Kansas State is headed to Memphis for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on January 2, 2016.

I know the conference dictates decisions, and we were destroyed by Arkansas.

However, I still think we have a shot at a Michigan Citrus because the powers that be aren't stupid. Fournette, Miles and the LSU brand, though admittedly damaged, are still stronger and "better television" than what Arkansas and any other SEC team has to offer.

An LSU/Michigan matchup would be the highest rated crap bowl by a mile and I think everyone knows it and that's why it can happen.

I'd rather they played in the Independence Bowl.

If this happens, LSU will have come full circle from the Dinardo days.

If you support the SEC HQ and have no problem with it being located in Gumpville and no problem with it being staffed by Gumps...then don't bitch about the bowl or anything else.

Until we force the HQ to relocate or change conferences, we'll continue to be shafted.

This is why Alleva needs to go, even before the coaching change fiasco. He's got no pull with the SEC and we get passed over for teams we beat or with equal records and get stuck in crappy bowls.

HQ to relocate

I've always thought that Pensacola was a good spot.

That city has no SEC school but it is in the heart of SEC country.

Of first game wasn't cancelled we'd be 10-3. The 3 losses were ugly and all in November but it's where most with any sense projected us preseason.

I always thought Memphis. Nice mix of old miss, Tennessee, Arkansas fans. Nice and centrally located.

Just have to avoid the ghetto.

I dont get why people complain about the bowl games. If you dont like it, dont watch and dont go to them. They will eventually die off if there isnt enough fan support for them around the country.

The sec usually plays the same bowls it always has. so no matter where LSU is slotted, they have been there before so no its not going to be new and exciting!! And you know what? Maybe if not for some rumors looming around the program, maybe this team shows up and wins one more game and is playing in the sugar bowl instead.

Does anyone really even care that much as to which bowl LSU goes to? I sure as hell don't.

Memphis would be good, especially since the additions of A&M and Mizzou. Nashville would be fine too (they don't have an SEC football team either...well, not really )
