This defense is going to be great.

NFL players and an excellent schemer in Dave Aranda.

As far as numbers go, our passing defense will probably be worse statistically than what we’re used to at years end, but that comes with having a high powered offense that puts up points early and often. I expect tackling to improve a lot along with the pass rush so those two combined will help keep teams out of the endzone. I think of it like an NFL game. A good defense may allow 250-300 yards passing but only give up 14-17 points because they make tackles or sacks on third down to get off the field.

If we had made 3-4 big tackles last Saturday night, Ehlinger would’ve still had 300-325 yards, but instead of scoring 38, Texas scores 21 or 24 and this whole discussion isn’t even taking place

Would not be surprised, that’s kinda the norm at LSU and this group has that kind of talent. People are over reacting, we played a top notch offense with a talented veteran qb who had one of those nights. Sorry we are the only team that has played anybody to this point. I’m sure our defense would have whipped Cincinnati and New Mexico states arse too.
