Yeah, but only because my little brother is super smart and wants to go to a good college in Texas, and that's one of the ones he's looking at.

I've never heard of half the teams that the basketball team plays.

I knew numerous guys on my AAU teams that went and played there. Some were heavily recruited by D1 schools but couldn't make it through the NCAA Clearinghouse.

We played them in the 80's. I found my ticket stub from that game not too long ago.

Would you believe me if I said that I caught the game in the middle of the Great Plains on 870 AM?

I would believe it. I have caught LSU games in a lot of odd places on WWL

When I lived in the SW Houston, I used to go to HBU's library to study and to spy on their college girls. They had some pretty good looking college chicks there. :)

Yes. Southeastern La. played them many moons ago at HBU. They had a neat home crowd w all kinds of different activities such as holding up newspapers while they announced opposing teams, etc. It caught on and has been used by many home teams since. The other funny ideas they used was to have cheerleaders dress up w various names on their uniforms such as "Ben Gay", etc. Great atmosphere. Glad to see they are moving up and joining established conference after all these years. I think they made it to NCAA's in baseball recently as well. fyi

Well I've heard of Houston. And I've heard of baptists. So I guess in a way I kinda had heard of them before even though I hadn't.
