LSU is expected to make new DC Blake Baker the highest paid assistant in the country with a three- year deal worth more than $2.2 million a year, sources tell @YahooSports. His new deal at
Missouri would have averaged $2 million a year.

Highest paid coordinator in the country. Who says LSU doesn’t have money?

Wild that someone I once casually knew over two decades ago would become the highest paid coordinator in the country.

Good for him.

So Mizzou couldn't cough up another $300k to keep him? Or was LSU willing to bid on up to $2.5M?

Man that seems kind of desperate for an unproven DC who has never had elite results and was a coach we already fired

I'll help the OP. Blake is making 2.5 million/year over 3 years, making him the highest paid assistant in the country.

Huge investment.

If Pirate King is crying like a bitch about the hire, you know it's a good one.

LSU will pay every defensive coach a premium as they should. This is big boy football.

Anyone that believes LSU is poor is a retard. We have set the market for over 23 years on coaching salaries
