Baton Rouge - Rain This Time of Year

With all the rain that Baton Rouge gets this time of year, would the NCAA ever ask LSU to move our regional/super regional to a dome stadium in the future?

The Superdome seems like the logical choice. Minute Maid wouldn't be a bad option as well with the giant LSU alumni base over there.

Anybody else concerned that the NCAA may shy away from giving LSU regionals and supers in the future due to this weather?

LSU has the greatest college baseball venue in the country. Hell no I'm not concerned that they consider not hosting championship games at The Box

No. Look what happened weather wise in several other regionals. Nashville,Starkville, Gainesville, Lafayette and others had serious delays.

Plus, look how often there is a rainout in Omaha at the CWS. Granted that's a little different since that is a destination, but still ESPN doesn't want that going on for three weeks.

Except that after the most recent plaza renovation, the Superdome can no longer host baseball..

There are 6 sites yet to finish their regionals. Looks like LSU isn't the only site with weather issues.

This is Texas' storm.

They had flooding and roads collapsed. The low pressure in middle of Texas caused the storm to spin in circles. Fed from the Gulf of Mexico moisture. Some bands broke off and traveled East.

As others have said 1000's of times before...

NO

And unless I'm mistaken the Superdome cannot be configured for baseball since the renovations.
