It factors in every game you've played so far, it's not just the game you just played. If a bunch of your opponents lose and you win you can easily go down.

Yea lots of possible reasons but going toe to toe with Missou didn't help. Definitely could have been opponents doing poorly as well.

Probably more to do with Kansas and Wisconsin playing higher NET ranked teams than LSU did over the weekend. Not always what you do but what everyone else does as well.

I didn't get to watch the entire game, but being down like that was mostly due to poor shooting all night, right? That stuff will happen. Defense still played pretty well?

Yep. WOuld be nice to know the calculations so we would know if that was the case. You could see it with RPI's cause it had a calculation. Your RPI could go up but you could drop spots if others had a better day.

The biggest factor is the new Net rankings take in affect offensive and defensive efficiency. Our O. eff. sucked against Missouri.

Yep. Plus, Iowa St. went in to Oxford and handled Ole Miss easily. As a result, they hurt LSU in the process (Ole Miss is LSU's biggest win) AND jumped LSU in the rankings.

It's all fluid. If LSU can handle business in the next 2 games, then the table is set the rest of the year for BIG wins.

St. Mary's is no longer a Q1 win. They dropped out of the top 50 after losing to BYU and Pepperdine last week.

Efficiency doesn't help, but losing a Q1 win and going from 3-2 to 2-2 against Q1 is the biggest factor for the drop.

Why would you rank Houston below LSU....?

We lost to Houston.

FSU, Memphis and Houston all won yesterday so NET could go up for us some today. That's all our opponents that we've played who were active on Sunday.

There is a pretty significant difference in home games vs away games. I could easily conclude on a neutral site that LSU could and likely would be Houston even though they lost ot Houston on the road.

I was at the Houston game. Very tough venue to play in.

I think that game is a toss up no matter where we play it.

NET should be fine once they hit that gauntlet of Miss St, Auburn, UK and Tennessee.

Iowa State and Wisconsin both had better wins than LSU did last week, and Furman is now below Oklahoma State in NET.
