Something like this could happen and they might end up in Omaha:

How much coaching experience did Andy have when he was hired?
Zero. It showed. Mainieri is 5-0 against Cannizaro.

He means as a hitting coach and he was hired here with zero coaching experience. He was a scout for 5 years but he wasn’t a former Manieri player so I guess that makes him qualified.

Maineiri hired Cannizzaro because of his scouting ability and what he thought he would be able to bring in recruiting. The hitting coach part of it was a bonus.

I thought where he made his presence most known was in our baserunning/base stealing. We have never been as good a base stealing team before or after his time here.

Yes, I think the stats prove that too.

I’d also like to see a comparison of the everyday players he brought to campus and compare that to his successors.

It’s hard to compare without knowing who committed to which coach since baseball gets so many early commitments and has an early signing period too.

His scouting and base running coaching may have been his strongest assets.

A lot of the players that Canni coached were brought in by Javi. Bregman was a Javi find for example. As much as people loved to shite on Javi he was a good recruiter and talent evaluator.

Canni brought in some good talent as well. Like you said it’s tough to know who actually recruited who and Cain was heavily involved in recruiting as well when Canni was on campus.

That said, we couldn't ask for a better time to hit the "weak" part of our SEC schedule. If we can manage to go 5-1 over the next two weekends I'll feel pretty damn good about our position.

If we could go 5-1 we would be more than likely in sole position of 1st place in the SEC. I think we would all feel good about that.

Missouri has a better overall record than us and Alabama has one less win. Let that sink in to the “it’s early” and “that’s baseball” crowd.

You're clueless, or you're a liar. Jason Columbus, who played here, sold Bregs on LSU, dumbass.

Paul said the same thing at the start of the season. He would have expected to win more titles than this, BUT DAMN HE PLAYED FOR ONE 2 SHORT YEARS AGO with a team with far less talent and had Walker not gotten hurt, he wins that IMO.

I wouldn't be so sure about "all", but yes, I generally agree.
