I'm so frustrated with him. He's like the Nuke LaLoosh of the LSU staff right now.

All I can say is that for all of the un-clutchedness of the first part of the season let's hope we replace it with clutchedness for the remainder.

This is like the biggest meltdown I've had over LSU baseball since 2006. Maybe we can scrape by some NCAA playoff wins on defense if our pitchers would just start understanding what they are doing. Maybe I just need to take a rest and wake up more optimistic tomorrow. Rough loss to Arkansas though. So frustrating.

I'm the same way. Before tonight I was still somewhat hopeful. Now I'm just going to start being realistic about this team.

"He didn't. He had a bunch of atrocious at bats and then became a liability in the field. Maybe he'll get out of the funk he was in and then come back and help."

I meant Watkins did a good job last year as a lead off, before his injury.

Yea I'm with you, hopefully Gausman goes out and throws well tomorrow

Our hitters have not been able to handle fastball pitchers who throw in the mid 90's. We finally have a couple of them ourselves but the other teams bomb away on our fastball pitchers. Gauseman got roughed up last outing and the time before that I think.

I'm hoping Paul isn't too loyal this offseason and can make changes to his staff if we continue down this road. Grewe needs to be "pevetoed" i.e, find another job

Maybe it's the price we have to pay for a 14-0 national championship in football this fall.

Please let this be true.

One of the junior leaders is gonna have to yell and get loud to get this teams focus. Someone needs to step up

You mean like the Junior leader that got thrown out trying to advance to 3rd on a fly out to left field? You mean that kind of leader?

I hate the new bats . They have completely changed the whole college game. The bats are metal and act like wood. Most of these players will never play pro ball . I truly hope some adjustments to the sweet spot will be made for next season.
I also think we are in serious trouble if we don't find a way to pull out this series. I watched this game last nite and had a bad feeling when we didn't get ANY runs in the first three innings. I do feel sorry for McCune who has pitched brilliantly and gotten no run support. They had better wake or we'll be looking forward to baseball NEXT season!

When is the last time LSU had ONE hitter that could hurt the opposing team? Anytime anyone but Mahtook steps up to the plate, I feel like the best thing that can happen is a single.

Just a real quick split second hijack - thank you all who participated in this thread. I whole heartedly agree with a lot that was said. And out of 4 pages, we didn't have some self righteous "I've been a season ticket holder since 1970" dick call us all a bunch of ridiculous negatigers.

Now, back to hitting our head against the wall with 10 hits and no runs!
