A win can help the team's confidence no matter how they get it. The kids were happy to get that win tonight. Why would you come here to say that happiness is a bad thing? What good can come out of that?

Never said happiness was a bad thing and I agree we needed a win. I’m happy our student athletes got the W because they definitely needed it in more ways than just the win column. But I can guarantee you, EVERY player on the team can admit we caught a huge break tonight.

Hey Dickwad, my thoughts are that they found a way to grind and win. If the other team wants to help....I’ll take it. See Oregon State vs Arkansas. Dummy

Hey Dickwad,

....and that’s why nobody takes you seriously.

Weren’t you the guy bashing our pitchers in the other thread and calling them “the opposite of clutch”. Is that your way of supporting the team?

Do you honestly celebrate bullshite wins like this?!?
I celebrated Warren Morris’ CWS walkoff HR, too.

You probably just thought it was a “bullshite win” and Miami deserved to win instead.

Did you honestly just compare the greatest moment in LSU baseball history to tonight’s win? lol

I was at the game when Morris hit the walk off, and it was against Miami (not Stanford).

This is the apparently the newest cool thing to spew on the Rant by all the resident "18 and Under" professional message board virgin geeks.

It's very closely related to "I bet you're fun at Parties."

Yea he did. But you can’t tell when someone is trying to make you look like an idiot? You have no idea how the game of baseball works. Yes... LSU did look terrible last night, but they found a way. And that’s what kind of grind you need in the post season. Find a way to win. And they did.

So you don’t have a thing to say about the baseball game. Do you honestly celebrate bull shite wins like this?!? shite like this doesn’t get us to Omaha, but hey that’s not our goal anyway right?

Know your audience. The Greatest Generation is all but gone and extremely unlikely to be found on TRant. Last year the U.S. Census Bureau predicted Millennials would surpass the Baby Boomers as the nation’s largest living adult generation.
Long story short, most posters on TRant celebrate even the most unremarkable accomplishments and demonize those who do not.

My high school football coach said that "some people can't handle success". That #1 ranking was a cross they couldn't bear. Time will tell what kind of team they are; it's not a sprint...marathon.

You're losing me here. Are you saying they shouldn't celebrate because it was a lucky win or not? Of course they caught a huge break, but it was still a come from behind win for a team that needed a break to hopefully get out of a funk. You were bitching about them celebrating and now you're saying they should be happy. I'm not sure if you've ever noticed, but the major league players treat walk offs like a pretty big deal too. They look like a bunch of 10 year olds jumping up and down out there and dumping water all over whoever hit the ball.

We luckily won a game we should have lost (against an unranked team) and we run out on the field and rip clothes off like we won the College World Series. When did that become the standard?

These kids are coming off a rough weekend in Austin and have every right to celebrate a victory in any manner they choose.

It's great to see that their zeal and excitement for winning hasn't been diminished.
