Anderson looked good? Genuine question, just trying to keep up with this thread it looked like he might’ve gotten roughed up a little bit

Anyone going tomorrow night?

I'm not yet sure if I'll be able to make it. For sure Scuba will be there. The guy is an absolute ironman. He hasn't missed a scrimmage since the early years of Maineri's tenure and that was only due to a failure of the baseball office to announce it to the public.

He looked pretty good IMO. Struck out the side in the 1st I think. I believe he ended up with 5k's in 3 IP. Gave up a few extra base hits (Bingham's solo HR, Pearson's 3B & 2B) and a couple bunts one which plated a run. Popped up and grounded out the other 3 batters up that he faced if I remember correctly. Think he had a couple of walks also.

Worst play was he rushed a throw to first that hit the baserunner with 2 outs. Instead of getting out of the inning both his walks and the baserunner he hit with the throw came around to score.

Ulloa and Moffett hitting those kind of numbers makes me realize just how damn deep we are. Unreal. Impressive stuff all around. Wish it was televised.

Does Brown stature remind you of Daniel Cabrera?

Hard for me to remember Cabrera as a freshman. The mental image I have of him is how he looked at the end of his time here. Brown is already put together well and has room to put on more with the strength and nutrition programs that have become more advanced since Daniel was here. He's still definitely starting out in a good place IMO.

Ya this staff is insanely deep

Little worried about Woods velo. When I sampled him last season the ball was exploding out of his hand

He was sitting at 92 mph but had a hard time locating his pitches today.

Don’t think he pitched in the fall. Assume he was injured

Was hitting 97 when we saw him last year vs lsu

He didn't look too sharp out there. But it was my first time seeing him pitch for LSU today so I have nothing to compare his outing to.

I had Woods at 91-93 mph in his first inning. His 2nd inning was 89-93.

The 92's and 93's weren't as common as the 90-91's.

I agree. I may have missed his 93's typing bpb on my phone. Tough to catch everything especially pitch speeds multitasking.

Almost impossible to do BPB and catch everything

Great recap. Bingham's solo shot was not as troubling for me as it was just a bad pitch. The way his 3rd inning started with the walks and throwing error was much more concerning IMO. Then Pearson made him pay for it before he got that last out. Without the error he could have gotten out of it without damage.
