That wasn’t in February either. As long as his control is good, velocity will come

Yea I agree.
I feel like Walker will be fine. He’s improved every scrimmage and while undoubtably he’ll need to knock some rust off but we should have the bullpen arms to allow him that.

CPM said Hess probably will not throw more than 5 Friday, and Walker not more than 3 Sunday.
Let's get it out of the way early, that this is to be expected. Because you know damn well, about ten people will question why he's pulling a pitcher so early when he is mowing people down.

I'm prepared for calls for CPM's head after the first midweek loss. It happens every year, but that's the result of applying a football mentality to baseball season.

Who are you kidding the first hit or walk of the season people will be calling for his head. By the way can't wait to follow your game threads again this year!

I haven't seen the schedule for the other games for the weekend. I would like to check them out as well.

Air Force plays ULM at 5 PM on Saturday.

I hadn’t heard that but I like it. I doubt we see Marceaux going more than 5 or 6 as well.

We should be OK if we just win every game by 8 runs or more, I haven't heard anyone calling for Beth to be fired yet
Nice job with softball BPB. I couldn't watch every game this weekend, but kept up with your threads

Sources are that the winds will change direction Thursday night to a nice 10-15mph gust from the north.

Thanks, I'll be out there for the military battle Friday.

I think Walker sitting in the mid to upper 80’s will be ok for LSU. Hitters will be geared up facing low to mid 90’s Friday and Saturday will be a good change.

those 7 vets were a part of a pen last season that was a huge weakness for us.
Hilliard was part of a weak pen last year? Fontenot was fairly good last year and so was Peterson. The pen is almost certainly going to be a big strength.

I certainly understand your point, but Hilliard was a starter after the first few weeks of the season. He had the second most starts after Hess, I think. He should not be considered part of last year's pen.
Great job Team. Head back to base for debriefing and cocktails.
