Another 80 power bat in the lineup. I think Adam is trolling ell at this point. lol

But seriously, the raw power in this lineup is through the roof. Far cry from the CPM days.

After I gave Jones and 80 I couldn’t hold back. Chicks love the long ball.

The 1997 LSU baseball team didn't have three 80 power bats in the lineup.

It's okay to re-evalute after posting and use the edit button. If you stick with 80 for Jones people will remember. "WinnieTiger" just pulled up a prediction for Tad from about 10 years ago. That's a good memory for a poster that just joined 7 months ago.

I just learned last week watching Tommy White’s interview on Mic’d Up that Travinski told the guys in the dugout he was going to pull a “Manny”. Then he went up to the plate and did it.

Yeah I saw that in the interview as well. Tommy goes "he didn't even tell us it was going to be sometime during the game, he straight up called what at bat he was going to do it during"

Why’d you stop telling people you’re a Cleveland scout?

I really like the potential of these 3 on the weekends. If Hurd can start to control his changeup a little more hes going to be a very dangerous pitcher with his other off speed pitches.

Let's hope the SEC strike zone grows to wider than an index card this season.

I'm going to review some midweek options combined with the relievers.

I don't know what direction Nate Yeskie is going to go this year so I felt guessing a couple of players wasn't worth it.

Comparing the 2024 projected lineup to 2023:

Power is +5%
Hitting is +4%
Speed -2%
Fielding -9%
Arm -1%

Seems to run counter to what’s expected. Power and average will be better and we are giving that much back in the field?

Who knew that we’d be able to improve on Crews, Morgan, Dugas, Beloso, Thompson, and Jobert so easily?

To be fair it’s hard to compare knowing the finished results of 2023 and unexpected breakouts of guys like Beloso, Travinski, & Jobert.

These guys were not on anyone’s preseason list for players that would eventually carry a national championship team at given times throughout the year.

This is neither here nor there, but Will Hellmers and Javen Coleman have had 4 different pitching coaches in their LSU careers.
