Especially baseball. You have to go to national podcasts to get anything worth it for baseball. Locally, horrendous.

If something happened to Thompson, I think you may see Doughty to SS, Cranford to 3B and Merrifield to 2B. Maybe flip them two. Point being, I think if Berry is in RF, he’s your fourth IF although he may not be at SS. Safford could also take that role with Merrifield staying at 3B.

I don't think Jay loved Doughty at SS. Putting Cranford at SS and leaving Doughty alone seems more like his style, since he puts a premium on defense up the middle. Then, yes, since your now making a purely defensive move at SS, you prob go with Merrifield at 3B and Berry to RF if another RF hasn't stepped up.

Anyone else kinda wondering if Pearson starts in RF tomorrow? I think Jobert is ready, but Pearson handled his at bats well.

Per Johnson he’s going to switch out some of the bottom order guys mid game. So I’d guess Pearson gets 4-5 ABs this weekend

I think if that scenario without Thompson would happen now, you would see Doughty to SS unless he shows he can't handle it defensively. Then I would agree with the Safford to 2B and Merrifield to 3B. If Bianco gets back to full health and shows some consistency from what he was doing at the end of last season then I think it would be him at 2B. Maybe even a platoon of Bianco Safford depending on pitching matchups if that's how Jay likes to do things. I think Cranford would come into play if Doughty can't handle SS defensively.

I just think the upside at the plate with Bianco or Merrifield is better than Cranford.

This is my projected line up, which I think is the same as yours but in a different order:

Morgan 1B
Crews CF
Berry 3B
Doughty 2B
Jobert RF
Thompson SS
Beloso DH
Milazzo C
Dugas LF

What seems to be holding Pearson back is his defensive ability in RF and not the bat. Just from some of the comments I remember seeing from some scrimmage posts about him taking bad angles and making a few errors out there.

Yes, just different order. But, I'm kinda wondering about Jobert now that I've seen all of the numbers and listened to Jay talk a bunch.

Agreed. Choppy is what I've heard describe him in the OF. Not smooth, but not a liability.

Are they going to make Crews and Berry use wooden bats this year?

Hunt authoritatively ranked the uniforms as below. I'm not sure I care what he has to say but I may try.

1. Grays
2. Whites
3. Pins
4. Purples
5. Golds
6. Block L Throwbacks
