Johnson comment on Fontenot was he will pitch important innings. That doesn't sound like he is convinced about him being a starter.

Kelly commented a little while back that when the idea of Fontenot starting was first presented to him that he wasn't sure of the idea but would give it a try.

D1baseball commented that we are in trouble if he is starting.

He is a competitor, so we shall see but not exactly ringing endorsements.

Fontenot has had a Fall and Spring to prove himself worthy of a starting spot.

Johnson was hired to put the best team on the field that he can.

Having said that...if he promised Fontenot the opening night start (which I question he did that) then he needs to honor it.

I will take it as a compliment if I’m in the same categories as Project and Ell. They actually know some baseball

It's a good listen. I've been trying to get more into everything below D1 especially JUCO.

For the folks in NELA that may be looking for something to do this weekend, there is a huge NAIA tournament in Sterlington. LSUS is technically the host, but many of the best NAIA teams in the country will be there. It's called the Cajun Collision and it was born out of the weather issues at the beginning of last season and they decided to make it a thing.

I'm conflicted, I want to upvote him for complimenting me, but downvote for complimenting ell.

I don't think you brought the word of friction between Fontenot and staff to the board, I think that was someone else.

It was me, and I got it from a former player who heard it from someone with the club (not a player). And it didn’t exactly come across as friction. It was more that Fontenot was upset with their reaction to his lack of success. It was more specific than that, but I’m not going into detail that could be awkward. It’s also not the best source in the world.

Also, that’s the lineup I predicted in the thread where Jay talks about how he likes to construct the top 5. I like Dugas in the 9th where he can maybe get out of his slump.

Writing was on the wall honestly.

ETA: I finally listened to Meatball on Hunt and Hill. His opinion of Money was very high.

Morgan with a grounder to right center for a double.

Leah definitely has room for improvement
