Easy to poke at people who make predictions though. Few of us would fare much better if we put ourselves out there like that

Not poking at all. But this prediction was way off. I think a reasonable person could see we were very inexperienced in the lineup And bullpen. Throw on too I have know idea what Dunn is paid to do. We have not improved one bit on the mound. Name one kid that has developed in the last 4 years? Name 1 person who has a swing and miss pitch? It’s really quite sad

Man, I disagree. While both have gotten better, both were weekend starter caliber when they stepped on campus. When was the last guy who showed up with talent but inconsistent, and then Dunn turned him into a stud? Every stud shows up a stud - Eric Walker, Labas, Marceaux, Lange, Poche - and then they either get marginally better or they get worse.
I’d like to see guys like Helmers, Edwards, Floyd and Money get developed into a stud Friday or Saturday starter.

Has Labas developed? He’s a solid #3 in the SEC, but what has he improved on? What’s he’s out pitch?

I wasn’t knocking Adam about the predictions. It’s just fun to look back at the expectations and how far we’ve fallen. The wins/losses thing is kind funny though.

Lol....not much has gone right for this group.
They seem to lack direction (coaching)and motivation. I was there Saturday and just the whole place seemed like a morgue.
The new coach needs to come in and revamp everything. Get rid of the intimidator, quit wearing gold on sundays. Save those for regional finals/tourney finals. It just needs an injections of excitement which should carry over to the team

I agree. I got to that point pre conference and there haven’t been any decisions Mainieri has hit on in 2021.
The lineup is young but there is talent on this team and there should be no excuse to have a losing record in conference let alone miss the tournament.

Labas is better.
Marceaux had improved but only because of his dad and the converstation they had with Dunn. I need to tell you those details.
