yeah before the SC series when we werent looking so hot

You may be right I am just not to high on him. With that big of a body I always just expected a lot more out of him.

He pitched pretty well in his last outing even though he gave up a home run.

Last year he was used almost exclusively in favorable situations, against right handed batters, in short appearances.

Thunderbird overstates his ability based on last year. If Cain becomes an above average pitcher, it will be because he has improved from last year.

Why is that? I think Mainieri used him last year in the only way he could have used him.

Like I said, if he's improved, that's good news. But, if he struggles with his command (like last year) and still throws the flat fastball (like last year), he will struggle in extended appearances. I'm not sure why that hurts your feelings.

Let's hope he's really a much better pitcher. Like I said, he had a good outing last week.
