It’s not embarrassing unless you’re an emotionally stunted retard.
We had one bad pitching inning out of 27.
We ran into a pitcher who happened to be throwing the perfect pitch for the weather and we didn’t make in game adjustments like we should have.
shite happens. We didn’t kick the ball around. We didn’t get blown out. We had a couple relievers show they may not be guys we can rely on and that’s pretty much it.

I don’t think most are melting. It’s ok to be frustrated when a 1-5 glorified high school team is 5 outs away from putting up a no hitter on your home field elite D1 team. 9th inning showed some heart so that was good, but through 7 1/3 that was unacceptable offense from this level program.

Theyre fine. Get the kids out there early on and find out who you can trust. Had a couple rough spots from two relievers. I bet they get better from this.

There's a gulf in between questioning the team's long term outlook after a bad loss and "melting" as you put it.
ETA: the team has an elite pitching staff. There's not even a question there. Just if the hitting will be consistent in league play.
