Here are quick, no-BS cliff notes from the LSU injury update:

Key Injuries
Chris Stanfield (LF)
Re-aggravated hand injury
Missed time earlier this year already
Status: Questionable

Seth Dardar (2B)
Hurt ankle sliding into base
Status: Questionable

Cooper Moore (SP)
Bruised forearm
Missing 3rd straight start
Possible return next weekend

Other Updates
Omar Serna (C)
Took collision at the plate
No concussion
Expected back

Big Picture
LSU could be missing 2 starting position players + a key pitcher
Timing sucks — facing a top pitching staff (Ole Miss)
Lineup + rotation both potentially short-handed

Milam will probably play 2B in the shift on lefties

I think that will be the case if we do something unexpected like put William Patrick at 2nd to start.

Milam's constant shifting makes the errorless streak (and now the just 1 error) all that more impressive. Moving all over the place to field the ball from different locations with weird throwing angles all the time. He's really displaying a ton of versatility. And that's going to look good to pro scouts.

Project beat me to it. I concur.

Jake misplayed a ball in Chapel Hill. He's redeemed himself nicely. Expect Ruckeet to do the same.

Not if defense is the priority. I expect alot of Ks and a couple homers. Thats ole miss’s style. I also expect our bats to struggle

Well this is a given. I’d be very surprised if we hit well. I hope I’m wrong.

I really just hope we don’t give free passes, because we won’t have enough offense to overcome it.

When have they not this season?

We have had a few games that the bats exploded, such as the 12th inning, at Tennessee… however, that is the outlier this season.

Our bats have generally been quiet this season. The bats were hot the first 2 weeks approximately. Since then they’ve not been consistently hot for a multi-game series.

CJJ just said Simpson is dealing with a broken thumb

I made my statement based on the post above. I didn’t read the entire topic to see it may not be broken but a ligament issue.

This is probably the best pitching staff we've faced so far this season. And our bats have just been inconsistent in general all year.

Now their offense has been worse than ours, so if we limit the free bases we'll give ourselves a chance.
