Hey Waffle, I was down in A-town the other night drinking shots of pepsi with some GI's. I don't drink, but I did buy them a kettle!

If Mitchell were to put the ball in play rather than striking out, his OB% could be damn near .600, IMO.
What does that have to do with whether or not he should lead off with his .500ish OBP?

can you "quietly" be have a nice game while pitching a shutout?
Coleman is quiet compared to some of the rantards here.

Mitchell would be hitting over 400 if he would cut his strikeouts by half

Come on Mitchell. Let's make up for that Mannequin stunt you pulled earlier!

Personally I like Mahtook hitting first. Mitchell also seems more comfortable when he is not leading off. I wonder what his stats look like batting 6 or 7 versus leadoff. I have always believed that consistency as a hitter is important for the leadoff spot. Not just and ob% stat.
Personally I would like to see us settle on a line up and ride it for a few games. I think it may take 2-3 games before a guy settles in to a spot..specifically the leadoff spot. I liked the line up against Tulane. It seems like every game the line up is in any given order. This is really my only complaint against CPM. I like the fact that he toys with it early in the year but just would like to see it become more consistent. Last year he did that.
