That's the problem Schlossnagle has taken his team to 3 straight CWS, and our coach has only gotten us to Omaha twice in 7 years now. We're digressing and they are Clearly one of the strongest late season programs in the country.

That's not what he is saying at all. Losing one baseball game to the number one team in the country is nothing to boohoo about. It sucks but it isn't the end of the world.

I was taught by catchers that played in the big leagues differently but I guess you may be right

Is it really? Genuine question.
I'm not a physics major but I'm pretty sure it's not. Obviously a one hop like that one is better than a head or shoulder high throw in the same situation.

Freeman's draft stock also on the uptick. Given the Cardinals lack of bonus pool, I'm hoping they pick him up at some point in the top 10 rounds.

Can't always expect to beat the Stony Brooks and Houstons of the world at home in the postseason.
Or can we?

They lost to the national champions last year. This isn't football.

How many national titles has he won in his 13 years as head coach?

TCU was eliminated by the same team that eliminated LSU. Who is to say that LSU wouodn't have gotten to Omaha if they had drawn A&M in the SR's?

A single hop isn't actually faster, but it makes it easier to get the tag down on a skip than everything else other than a dime.
It's better to one hop it than miss wide by even a foot, for example.

We are playing one of, if not, the best teams in the country. Lets see how we play out in 9 inning. 9 outs left. Remember the possum
