yeah he went back and tagged and then decided to celebrate. that was all on pigott.

Right when the ball was hit, the coach shoulda been yelling to tag up. Mistake on both of them.

A good coach would not have let that happened to begin with. The coach got caught up in the moment.

He did go back to the bag. That's not what happened.
That's 100% on the player.

Did you see the replay? He went back to tag when the ball was in the air. It isn't like he was just down the line and never went back to the base.

I disagree, the coach shoulda made sure he tagged. He was watching the ball thinking it was gone too.

And instead of watching the can of corn being caught the coach should have been screaming at him as soon as he left the bag - for the 2nd time!

he should have been screaming right when the ball was hit.
you score on a HR anyway.
there is no reason whatsoever to leave the base. A good coach would have recognized this and yelled in the runners ear TAG TAG TAG.
fat coach got caught in the moment. Attention to details like that are the difference between wins and losses, as proven tonight.
