Yea he sugarcoats too much. Total opposite of Nick Saban. Nick would have been like…we have a lot of work to do, and decide if we want to win games or be losers etc. or something to that effect. Lol

That way of speaking doesn’t connect with players at all. More likely to have players tune you out speaking that way.

Exactly you gotta get in these kids faces and break their cocky attitudes especially after a loss.

The player at the end of last season who threw that fit on the field and then dog cursed the staff on the sideline was a harbinger for the Gumps.

Doubt it will be that soon. Should this year be a bust for them, DeBoer most likely will do a reset and hire a completely new crew of coordinators for them.

agree but honestly with NIL and the portal, no team will ever see the type of dominance Bama had. Saban knew and that’s why he retired.

That's what they said about the NFL when free agency came along. Then the Patriots went on to win all those Super Bowls.

This new era is going to, in most years, belong to the schools with the most money Alabama has money but not that kind of money to win every other year

How is LSU any different than Bama in terms of “money”? I get LSU probably got a head start on setting up the NIL infrastructure, but in terms of straight up cash flow from donors - is Alabama really that far behind?

Kiffin would be Saban dangerous at Alabama with a Spurrier attitude.

i never liked the DeBoer hire and said so from the start.

At the D1 level, he had one good year at Fresno and 2 at UW, but that was primarily due to Michael Penix. That’s a flash in the pan, not sustained success.

Bama WAAYYYY overpaid at 8 years for $87 million. And i said so at the time.

His buyout is $60M at the end of the season. I don’t care if he gets it in installments, no school is going to do that after 2 seasons.

I just hope we finished paying out Les and O’s buyout before assuming a third.

Now I’m seeing articles all over even some from writers in Tuscaloosa asking Bama to pay DeBoer’s buyout & they are serious

7 points in the other direction in Clemson on Saturday and you’d have plenty of LSU fans on this site doing the EXACT same thing with respect to BK.

Alabama doesn’t have the market cornered on delusional fans.
