Bama is done playing. Watch the games on championship weekend. Wait for BCS results to be announced. If you are still top two BCS spots, you get a shot. But you may not be in the top two. Watch the games.

If that's the way it plays out, it will be a split title at worst for LSU.

I am not sure how you seperate Stanford, OSU and Bama if all finish with 1 loss.

Well, if the common denominator among these teams is that they all carry 1 loss, then the clear way to separate them, based on that which unifies them, is to examine each team's '1 loss'. That should be a pretty simple formula.

If Bama gets to play for all the marbles against the SEC champ, then the Nov. 5th game did not matter. How has Bama been penalized for that loss?

Our penalty was having to beg for certain teams to shite the bed, and not controlling our own destiny. It just so happens that those teams performed the necessary bed shitting, thus creating the situation we know have.

Nope. I didn't ignore the if. It's not a done deal.

Nope. It may not be fair, but that's what you've got to deal with. If you're older than 12, you probably have some inkling that there's no such thing as fair.

By this rationale, there is no reason not to take Houston. Focusing solely on the loss is stupid. We should look at the WINS. What did that team actually accomplish?

If we only look at losses - Houston's "nobody" is the clear winner.

Still our house. I grew up in the Superdome. I spent most of my teenage years (Christmas through New Year's day) in NO going to Sugar Bowls in the 70's. Bama fans are entitled there. You will not have any kind of a home field advantage there. Of that I'm certain.

I don't think any sane person would argue that Houston is a better team than most of the 1-loss teams. That's evident by their current ranking.

Oh ok, so since you grew up in the Superdome, that speaks for the rest of the 70,000 something seats?

How much money are you willing to put up for that?

So if Boise was able to schedule LSU instead of UGA and that was their only loss they would be equally deserving? Who cares who they beat it's all about who they didn't beat.

Love the confidence - completely misplaced, but love the confidence. It will be, essentially a LSU home game in the Superdome, with a heavy Bama minority. Bama should seat 16 to 22k, with LSU at 54 to 60k. Ya'll can rightly call victory if you get to 30k, which will be impressive, but that still leaves 46k LSU fans.

And if you weren't at the Superdome from August 29 through September 5, 2005, I don't want to hear a Gump calling it "Our House".

We have the date of the National championship game.

January 9, 2012 Louisiana Superdome

January 16th, 2012(in case Bamsa loses)

January 23rd, 2012 (in case bama loses again)

January 30th, 2012 (to the discretion of Nick-too close to signing number 1 class)

You can believe that unless LSU were to convincingly beat BAMA in a remath it will be disputed - regardless of the matchup or outcome.
