Ron Cooper was here 3 years. He didn’t recruit some of the best guys he had in that span. There is a reason he’s coaching at a Long Island U. He coached a few beasts in that 3 years but Corey Raymond’s is the main reason LSU was considered DBU for a decade.

He was the best on field coach LSU had.

And Raymond is UNEMPLOYED. Cooper has always wanted to be a HC, which he is.
Raymond is a TERRIBLE on field coach.
Go look at WHY LSU hired him from SCe before you run your mouth next time. They had a great defensive backfield with him.
You could make an argument that the 2011 LSU defensive backs and backfield was the greatest of all time. That included Reid, Taylor, Brooks, Loston, Martin, Claiborne Mathieu, and Simon. 8 of the 12 played in the NFL. Corey Raymond was not at LSU in 2011.
But but but Raymond started DBU. GTHO of here with that bull crap.
While he didn’t recruit some of these, most made huge jumps from the previous year especially Brandon Taylor.

Raymond is a hell of a recruiter and a decent coach. But he’s not the only good DB coach. It’s not make or break with him. Or Bo Davis.
