Surprised that Stingley wasn’t in the mix for the Thorpe. Are true freshmen not eligible?

It appears to be awarded to upperclassmen.

Delpit probably got more recognition from last year
Okudah likely wins
Lack of production and injury hurt Delpit this year, but he looks a lot better for the playoffs which is a must and with Hampton emerging it allows Aranda to be more creative with him

IMO Joe will win this by the largest % landslide in Heisman history.

Fulton should be a finalist over Delpit - doesn’t have the INTs but people don’t throw at him.

Reed was very impressive though. Georgia’s DB play was the only reason things didn’t get even uglier.

I’m sure he’ll be highly decorated before he leaves.

The Advocate appears to have overlooked the Paul Hornung Award, to be presented Dec 11th.

Finalists: Joe Reed (Virginia), Lynn Bowden Jr. (Kentucky), Clyde Edwards-Helaire (LSU), and Wan’dale Robinson (Nebraska)

the thorpe award tends to be a “career” award. I think you have to be in their preseason list to considered and they aren’t going to put true freshmen on any preseason list.

The Broyles Award will be interesting. Several good candidates. I wonder if the fact that Brady isn't technically the OC will hurt him? Remember, voters never following the individual teams as intensely as us fans.

Burrow should win every POY award unless one of them simply wants to differentiate themselves from the Heisman. Same for the Davey O'Brien.

Chase had a better overall season than Lamb. But Lamb had a better game last Sat. Chase should win the award, but would the voters have "LSU fatigue" considering Burrow is likely to win a ton of awards?

Good to see Delpit as a finalist, but he wasn't the best DB this year (he should have won last season)

It will be interesting to see if O wins the COY. It may be the voters give the award to Day as a "consolation" prize for losing the #1 seed OR to Matt Rhule for his unbelievable transformation of the dumpster fire that was Baylor. If I'm being honest I give the award to Rhule. O had a really good team coming back this season that started the year in the top 6. Baylor was picked to finish in the bottom half of the Big 12 and instead finished 11-1 (reg season) two years from going 1-11 after that program was torn to the studs.
