Had a guy tell me one day that the number of major league players in the history of baseball, all the way back to the 1800s, would fit in Tiger Stadium.
That’s a select group and a hell of an accomplishment.
ETA: did my own research and it’s crazier than that... they would nearly fit in SRO Alex Box. 15,571 as of last year.

Oh boy..........
Is this where you pick apart his stats and tell the board how you watch more than 200 baseball games a year again? .327 in AAA is pretty damn good. It would be a top 7 BA in MLB. He deserves the call up.

It’s the toughest professional sport to make it all the way to the top. Think about the great players in college, specifically at LSU, that never even sniffed the big leagues let alone get called up. The talent difference from MLB to the A/AA teams is like comparing a good college to team to a 14yr old travel team. AAA is better but the top line pitching in MLB is ridiculous.

Come back after your google search into Nola’s year so far. I can’t wait to hear you discount his call up.

Great, my favorite player from the 2010 and 2011 team. I hope he sticks

Mariners are in gut and rebuild mode
I think he has a good chance to stick around for a while

Love this guy and love his family. This is what perseverance and determination get you. His path has been anything but ordinary.
Congrats to Austin and the Nola’s.

That's awesome for Austin, also his position jumped out at me, didn't realize he was a catcher now.

He made it to the show baby!

Welp he just proved a lot of people wrong. Good for you Austin. Good luck.

I'm SO happy for Austin. He's one of my favorite Tigers! He was such a nice guy and THE best defensive shortstop in LSU history. He deserved this so much after grinding in the AAA for so long! Most guys don't stay in the minor leagues that long if they don't make it.

While Nola is older than a lot of his competition and it’s probably unlikely he’s a late bloomer, his success has nevertheless earned him a trip to the Show.
Amazing what can happen when you get out of a garbage organization like Miami.
Good luck Austin

This guy came in as a freshman and displaced a future MLB Golden Glover on the way to a CWS Title. He made Paul look like a genius that season. One of my all time favorite Tigers is Austin Nola.
