They have a problem with the PI calls. Even the one where the DB grabbed Jefferson’s arm.

LINK

I’m sure they didn’t have a problem with this....

They think that's good DB play. Can't be wrong if you don't know what's right I guess.

They sure didn't have a problem with the refs not reviewing that fumble on their second drive. Regardless if it was blown dead, it was still bs

I would venture to say that in the history of sports talk radio and sports message boards, that some fans for every team that ever lost a close game blamed it on the refs.

Do this experiment. See what big team loses a close game on Saturday next week. Go to their team message board the next day. I guarantee there will be at least one post or thread about a bad call that would have changed the outcome of the game. 100% Some fans just can’t admit the other team was better that day.

Except for LSU fans of course. We never blame the refs after a loss.

From what they said, they obviously didn’t see the hold on Giles earlier in the play. If they are focusing on when the ball was thrown then they are missing the call. I’m not sure who said it (maybe Gordy or hanny), but they were talking about Giles cutting to the inside of the route on purpose to possible get a PI or holding. If so, that was well played. Said that what Jerry Sullivan brings to these wr’s.

Their DBs suck arse. They have to tackle and grab the shite out of WRs or they’d get fricking torched.

I’m not sure if the refs called a good game or not. All I know is that we kicked their arse and I’m drunk!

Agreed. There was another play in the end zone where the DB just grabs Jefferson and no one calls shite.

I’ll give them that the 1st call on the final drive should have been defensive holding but that’s still an automatic 1st down, but the PI against Jefferson is obvious. He’s grabbing and pulling down Justin’s arm.

It’s not even a judgement call. It’s pass interference.

Listening to their team’s call kinda gave me a different perspective of it. I wish there was a way we could hear archives of other teams’s radio broadcasts of the games.

Hell, I wish there was a way to hear LSU’s radio replay...

the melt was entertaining. The game was called really tight the entire way. someone should post the total team penalty yards and total penalties. it seemed like there was a multiple flags on every possesion. they werent exactly "letting them play" out there for sure.

Man the two guys on the call could not have been watching the same game that I was. How can they not see the Jefferson of Giles as PI and Holding. Like the linked picture holding a players arm while the ball is in flight is not holding. Auburn got what they should have and if they want to discuss 2006 and their payed Refs we can.

This has never been done in the history of football - not even once.
These are basketball fans trying to analyze a football play.
