How hard is it to f'n comprehend for you Rantards? We haven't been to the title game because the national title contender/winner has gone the last two years.
Your complaint boils down to "We didn't contend for the national title."
Deal with it crybabies. Ask our contemporaries and recent powerhouses UF, USC, UT, etc. if they'd switch places with LSU this year.

You people are ridiculous. The last three years, there has been a Title contender that won the west and did so WITHOUT LOSING A GAME! YOU CAN'T EXPECT THIS TEAM TO GO UNDEFEATED EVERY YEAR, ESPECIALLY IN THIS LEAGUE.
2010 - undefeated Auburn won the west, likely headed to the BCSNG
2009 - undefeated Alabama won the west; then won the BCSNG
2008 - undefeated Alabama won the west; lost to FL otherwise would have been in the BCSNG. Florida wins BCSNG
2007 - LSU FREAKING WON THE WEST; WE ARE ONLY THREE YEARS REMOVED. LSU WINS BCSNG.
2005 - LSU
2003 - LSU
2001 - LSU

Give some credit to our competition.
2008 we sucked.
2009 was Bama's year.
2010 was Auburn's year.
The years we won the west we were 9-3,12-1,11-1, and 10-2 right ?
LSU was as good as those 2001 and 2005 teams (arguably), but this was just Auburn's year.
Next year obviously we will circle that as THE goal and judge accordingly. We accomplished a LOT this season, especially with that UGLY offense.

I hate not going for the 3rd straight year, but unfortunately for us, you have had to be the best team in the entire country to come out of the West. That's tough. Hell, we had the same exact record in '09 that our '01 championship team had. shite's tough to do. But that shouldn't mean we're content. And nobody is, honestly.

Either play in Atlanta (SEC Championship) or in a BCS game next year or get rid of Les. If we don't play for either of these one outta 4 years, we are simply a mediocre program. If we tolerate being mediocre, then keep Leslie.

Mike DeTillier said this morning that LSU and South Carolina would be his two divisional picks next pre-season barring any surprises in the returning players. Other than Peterson, he anticipates Ingram, Jones and Dareus leaving Bama early as well as Mallett, Cam, Fairley, and A.J. Jones among others. His take is the anticipated returning players along with the incoming players and redshirts are stronger for LSU and USCe. He did say he felt Arkansas would be right there with the Tigers because of the skill players they return.
