if the rumors are true he straight up stabbed Miles in the back and was campaigning for the HC before miles was even fired.

that's rumor though.

Either way, that's still on Alleva for not seeing that (if it's true).

That’s a ridiculous take. When you are LSU you don’t hire a 10-25 career HC.

It might work out but no matter how you slice it’s a bad hire. LSU is better than 10-25.

If stating simple facts is a sign of immaturity or insanity, than you're correct!

No. The crowd is NOT wanting to say I told you so. The crowd wishes to be proven wrong because the crowd wants to compete for Ships, not for who gets a free Blooming Onion at Outback.

The bashing is hurting the team

The team sees a hell of a lot more behind the scenes than we can EVER sniff out here on a message board. You have a mighty high opinion of the impact tRant has on the success or failure of LSU sports programs. A psychologist probably has a term for this, but you are entitled to your perspective, as I am to mine.

My perspective is that LOSING hurts the team more than an Internet message board.

Georgia and TAMU were both able to flip Alabama recruits this year.

We lost our top guy, a guy we'd recruited for years, to Alabama. And we lost him in an epically crappy way.

But that's our fault here on Tiger Droppings, right?

Heading into year 2, does Ed have LSU's program even remotely close to where Kirby has Georgia's heading into his "3rd" year?

If Georgia was in the SEC West they would have come in 3rd place this year and not even made the playoffs!

It didn't cost Georgia any recruits and they played ND just as close as we did!!

Not true. Even he turns out to be successful, it was terrible coaching search and hire by Alleva.

Guys I have an idea, let’s hire a hobo off the street and let him do his thing and after 3 years then we’re allowed to criticize him! I mean who cares what we hire he’s our head coach right? So we just need to shut up and accept it. #hobO

We are all rooting for the tigers. Even if we don’t like the coach.

And by saying O might surprise us you’re basically admitting that he’s expected to fail.

So coach O needed to be hired after a coach with a losing season to be considered a good hire? If he went 7-4 as Saban did he would be considered a success then but he goes 9-3 after an 8-4 year and is considered a failure already?? How long was Saban at Mich St? Did he ever compete for a NC there? Must be a failure then!

We should be able to tell in the 2018 season just how well our coaches can coach because we are not going to be able to out talent half of our opponents.

My thoughts are that a lot of our fans think our football players are way better than other SEC schools' football players. This is not the case! If you want to look at recruiting rankings which I think are biased LSU sits with the likes of Auburn and Texas A&M as for as talent. Bama, Georgia and Florida recruit more talent than LSU on an average basis. Tenn and Ole Miss(prior to trouble) are not far behind. Schools like Arky and MS State are always going to have starters with almost as much talent as LSU just haven't had the same quality depth in the past as the likes of an LSU.

YES. Is it that hard to understand? Saban had to rebuild a losing program. O was handed a winning program and expected to improve on it. He has not. How is this so confusing to you?

Did a whole hell of a lot better than 10-25.

You say we didn't go 9-3???? Because 8 of the wins came against teams with at least 6 losses.... you saying those wins don't count now?????? If that's the case I guess any wins Miles had against teams that had 6 or more losses should be taken away from him.... correct......

He was a bad hire. That could be determined on Day 1.

Very hard to understand!! What coach is going to come in and in one year improve a 9-3 or 10-2 program to 11-1 or 12-0? Name me one that we can go get that would 100% guarantee us this type of change? You can't

LES MILES.

ETA: Orgeron not only didn’t improve LSU’s record from 2015 (9-3 with cancelled cupcake), he regressed from it in 2016 (9-4) AND 2017 (9-4).

Lincoln Riley had never been a head coach before and took his team to the playoff in year 1.
