If they're going to fire him for off the field issues then they'll try to do it after a win or during the week so it doesn't give the appearance of being fired for losing
It'll be after ULM or during the two weeks post Ole Miss and before Alabama if it is during the season. If it is post Ole Miss, that includes the bye weekend so there is a long period for the interim prior to the Bama game (if during the first week) and tamps down expectations that the interim will win that game.
If they do it will only be if Woody has an interim in mind and probably a behind the scenes nod from the primary candidate for his replacement.
I also think after the season is more likely. Just my take.

This is well said. Makes a lot of sense from a timing perspective with the various moving parts to follow this path.

Is there anybody that has the stones to remind him he has been saying that since the first game of the season and nothing has changed? At what point does he look in the mirror and think maybe his way of getting it fixed doesn’t work…..??

Well he’s still the coach
The man couldn’t dive out of a plane and fall faster than he has as a coach, but at least he’ll always have 2019, can’t take that away from him.

I believe he did the same with Willingham at UW. Not his MO to fire a coach mid-season.

Sumlin's final season they went 7-5 (4-4). His players didn't quit on him, they weren't playing in front of a half full home stadium.
