Bama on the other hand, shite the bed against their rival, and lost to Texas. The committee has SEC fatigue as it is.

Bama beat 4 top 25 teams and #1 Georgia...

No one else has that resume

it’s definitely what they pay lip service to… if they consider strength of schedule, which is second on their list of considerations, it will be Texas and Alabama in, and either Washington or FSU out. FSU out due to the qb situation, which is another thing that they claim is a consideration.

If FSU hadn’t lost their star qb, and struggling against a team that lost to Kentucky last week, they would be in easy.

FSU with Travis would be a no-brainer, but they’re not as good as BAMA (SEC Champ that is playing great), Texas ( Big 12 Champ that is playing great), Washington (I’m skeptical, but they’ve played well enough), Georgia (almost win, despite missed field goal and fumble in red zone), nor Michigan (Big 10 champ and playing great). 4 of these better teams should be selected over Florida State, because it should consider how you’re playing now given the team that you can field for the playoffs. The same would be true for any of the teams. What they’ve done all season should matter, but the early season shouldn’t be weighed as much as what they do in the end.

If FSU wins they’re in. Injury argument does not have as much weight when the 2nd string beat a conference rival and the 3rd string won the conference championship, and the 2nd guy is coming back. Committee is sick of the SEC and if Norvell is 1/2 as good at begging as Saban is, this is the easiest decision ever for the committee.

That’s not even counting the fact that Bama already lost to Texas once, and they don’t want to see it twice.

Bee-cuzz all biases aside Alabama is a much MUCH better team than Florida State…y’all keep thinking they’re great because they beat the Tigers but they are not and they will most certainly be exposed when they play anyone with a pulse! TCU 2.0!!!

Let Texas in screw it.
Let’s see what they can do.
Problem is we don’t have Bama or Georgia in there to make sure they don’t win it.
Who knows what happens with no SEC team in it.

UGA was #1 by default because they hadn’t lost a game in a minute but let’s be real, they aren’t the same team they were a year ago

3 undefeated conference champs 1 loss champ that beat the other 1 loss champ. Pretty cut and dry

This if FSU wins the committee doesn’t even have to meet and discuss anything. It’s set.

Only debate from now will be between a 2-loss team or 3-loss team & let’s be honest, nobody outside the top 10 will win a natty

So 10/12 playoff teams will have a chance to win the natty? I feel like you were trying to be pessimistic but that sounds legit.

Look at Florida State’s resume. They will have run the table, beaten their conference rival with their 2nd QB, won their conference championship with their 3rd string QB, and their 2nd guy is coming back

And beat the Heisman winner

It’s a discussion because without Travis, FSU is probably not a top 10 team, much less a top 4 team. Kentucky just beat Louisville last week 38 to 31, but FSU can barely score against Louisville.

They outplayed BAMA. The refs helped BAMA a lot, plus they Georgia had bad luck with the field goal that would’ve made it a tie, and then made that mistake that caused the fumble in the red zone. I think if they played again, Georgia would win.

How can Bama get in before Texas

I mean from a logical standpoint there is no argument that is valid against:

Michigan
UW
FSU
Texas

If FSU wins. It was determined on the field.

3 undefeated P5 champions with multiple top 25 wins and other big wins.

Then between two 1-loss P5 champions they played head to head, you put in the team that beat the other in the road by 10.

UGA isn’t the best win this season. I am sorry. It’s a great win, but doesn’t override an undefeated team no matter what or Vance out a head to head win.

The SEC doesn't deserve an automatic in that's stupid. Especially in a down year. Bama beat the "number 1" team, but Georgia won't be number 1 now and had a garbage schedule.

FSU WAS a great team with Travis. They still have a great defense, but their offense is anemic without Travis. They are not a great team today.
