Go get a five-star, "non-mobile" QB.
Hell let's start with a 3 star that has a quick release, can check into the right play and successfully hit short to mid-range passes.

Period
Surprise, surprise ... same damn thing we said at the end of last year ... following AJ's crap performance vs. ND in the bowl... a loss, if you recall.

This seems to be a consensus idea. When is the last time we have had this style QB in Louisiana high school football?

Mettenberger was self trained I suppose?
We didn't get as much time to ruin him, that's for sure. He was already a good QB before he came here.

Two years of struggle at QB. Better shut down the program.

They are all over the State of Florida. I'm sure any of them wouldn't mind playing at LSU.

So we haven't gotten good QB to LSU besides Mett.

C'mon. Seriously come up with something better than that.

So you want it both ways.

He played as if he was freaked out that a missed throw would cost Les his job.

Very True. I think we had one with Gunner as well, but I don't remember exactly.

Harris has all the tools to be a good QB, he just needs DEVELOPMENT which we sorely lack. The kid is just a true sophomore. All the retards who wanted Jennings in last night obviously dont remember last year.
I see no material difference in each of those guys performances in their Sophomore seasons. Not sure why Jennings doesn't get the same excuse about age, especially since he got less reps as a true freshman.
Our QB's are inaccurate, and that is one of the few things that is hard to blame on coaching.

If we didnt have such an inane passing attack where we throw it deep EVERY OTHER throw this offense could be so much better.
This is just untrue, and you pretty much said so in the words preceding these. Also, that is somewhat on the QB; there was one play early last night where he chose to go deep and had 2 guys wide open, including Fournette, on the outlet. Didn't even consider not throwing to Dupre. Its the throw he feels comfortable with, so he makes it.

He is a below average SEC QB with above average talent all around him. Coaches can only work with what they have.

This was glaringly obvious last night. His lack of seeing a play unfold was on display.

This. Our coaches put so much pressure on the passing game by not letting them get many reps at all until we play teams where we need it to win. We need to be balanced in every game from the start of the season regardless of who the opponent is.
I don't buy this. You play to the strength of the team. That is the running game. LSU made a mistake against Arkansas and went away from what was working.
The players can get enough reps, its called practice. Also no one is stopping Harris from going out and practicing with the wrs on their own time.

What? Says who? McMillan wasnt even the full time QB for his HS team. He's an Anthony Jennings clone.
Well he was still the starting QB, and that team won 2 TX state titles, so its not like he is some scrub. I'm pretty sure the guy he split time with was primarily a runner, and will be a D-1 player.

+1 on needing a new QB. We better sign a JUCO QB this year.

He was with the program for longer than any QB on our roster.
