As an almost boomer, Joe Brady is exhibit A of why so many younger people dislike us

Why do I say this? Well simple.
That MFer was playing college ball in 2011. He was coaching fricking linebackers in 2013 and 2014. During the years that we all wanted Les Miles to just fricking TRY to install a non-1970s offense, Brady hadn't even begun to LEARN to coach offense. And yet here he is, in 2020, probably able to forget half of what he knows and STILL know more than Miles about offense. That's fricking retarded.
Easily the thing that drives me the most fricking nuts when I hear it from my peers or older is this absurd idea that somehow, our age prevents us from learning something new. I have ALWAYS refused to adopt this silly mantra. If you are 25 and walk in to my building with something I don't know that looks effective or useful, you can bet your arse it won't be a permanent situation that you're the only one who knows it.
You hear grown assed 50+ people say dumb shite like, "get your grandkid to help you set up your computer". Like, somehow, being 50+ makes you less able to learn basic shite than a 12 year old.
Miles, and others like him that can't fricking adapt are why people like me have to prove we aren't one of them. Experience is fantastic. And, it's something we have over young people. Properly applied, it should frankly make us better than them in most situations. Alas, that we aren't is our own failure because it's only true that we would be better if we COMBINED experience with continuous learning instead of being stubborn assholes. Just something to think about
Rant complete.

Random rant but I can't say I disagree with any of it

Your post is why I don’t like you.
WTF are you rambling about?

I know I feel better about the world after reading that shite.

Meanwhile, people who have been doing HIS job for 4 decades, couldn't manage to accomplish the same task.

No self respecting millennial would have taken that lowly job.

I know where you are going, but you sound triggered.
I also like to learn new things and do not like the "well that's how I have always done it" mindset.

You mean like coach O?
Alas, too many do. And, it's just makes it harder for the rest of us.

Yeah I agree. Businesses should lay off the new guy that brings a lot of good ideas to the table so they can retain Frank, the “experienced” guy that has said he will retire next year for the past 5 years. And boomers get mad that young people don’t have as much good jobs.

That's pretty much the opposite of the point of my post.
It maybe SHOULD be true, but, alas, too many of my peers refuse to keep learning. That's the point.
