Beats the heck out of some of the posts. In the eye of the beholder....like art. Some of us aren't posting from work on someone else's dollar.

Response:

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

This thread is solid gold. Maybe I'll drive to Concordia this week and pick up a copy to see what the article said

cliff notes

Taking early look at LSU-Alabama

by Joey Martin (aka 58Flash)

Unlike that magical regular season game in 2011 won by LSU 9-6, this one is not the Game of the Century. Those two teams were heads and shoulders above everybody. These two teams are worthy of being ranked around No. 5.

After stumbling against Ole Miss, Alabama is back. And besides the foolish talking heads who were talking the end of Alabama football as we know it, you had to know the Tide would be back.

While LSU comes in with an unbeaten record and higher rating, the Tigers have been less than formidable, especially on pass defense. Don’t think Lane Kiffin doesn’t know that as well.

Meanwhile, LSU’s pass defense has looked lost at times, but Jalen Mills and Trevarious White back on the field will alleviate some of those problems.

Then again, there’s special teams, which have been far less than special.

LSU has the better offense, Alabama the better defense, LSU the better kicking game and Alabama the better punting game. That’s as close as four of the last five regular season games have been, with an average of 3.7 point difference in those games. Don’t expect anything different this year. Just don’t expect the Game of the Century.

P.S.: There is no such thing as ConcordiaSentinel.com

I'm glad he didn't utilize tired formulas, over-played tropes, and trite cliches.

Joey Martin at Concordia Sentinel.com has an article on Special Teams and the coach they need.

I found the obituaries more informative and certainly more accurate. A lot of Concordians sure died yesterday.

Not all of us are SIDs. We shall see if our STs D is a factor in this game. We rank dead last in the country.
