Well his family is from LA. Say what you will, but people from LA keep their roots. I moved back here after living in GA and Florida for 16 years.
They have been recruiting other qbs. If you think franks is the only one, then you are not very bright.
The issue I have is you have a perfectly capable qb in Scott Jr that would jump at the opportunity to come here. Should grab him and call it a day.

It could have been a set-up all along....I wouldn't put it past the new Florida coach. After all, he's a Nick Satan deciple.

If he was committed Cameron started recruiting a second qb and Franks bailed because of this then morons would be bitching about that.

Patrick Peterson says hello. Anyone who doesn't think the uncertainty with Coach Miles(and Cameron) had something to do with this is just fooling themselves. It likely had everything to do with the switch.

There is no way that you know he would even commit to LSU. Assuming he would just because he is from LA is naive.

Was Franks born in Louisiana? If not it's not a huge deal.
I lived in Louisiana until I was 14 and moved to Florida and I've lived in Florida minus a year or so total since then and I still love LSU and consider Louisiana my home
On the other hand, I had a friend in high school who grew up in California even though most of his family was from Louisiana and he couldn't have given a shite less about the state or LSU
My point being that his extended family living in Louisiana probably didn't affect his decision much if he wasn't born in Louisiana

Why would any coach agree to this.
If someone wants NO competition, they should probably not be playing football in a power 5 conference.
Am I the only one who sees that type of request by a high schooler as a giant red flag?

I don't think it had one thing to do with him not coming to LSU. Franks decommitted 2 weeks before the Miles rumors surfaced.
It should have been a red flag if Franks told LSU to only recruit him and no one else. Robert Lane tried that with Nick Saban when he was at LSU and
Robert ended up at Ole Miss. They tried to play him at quarterback and he ended up a tight end. These players should not be trying to dictate.
