What this cop is doing is the equivalent of freaking out on a group of kids popping fireworks in the city limits. Even worse that this wasn’t dangerous and was after a national championship.

As a person who began in law enforcement in 1995, I can tell you with absolute certainty that had that happened to me or anyone I know in law enforcement, he would have gone to jail right then and there. It's simple battery, plain and simple. That is ridiculous. I saw the video. It was a joke. Sure OBJ was acting like a drunken fool, but for the NOPD to bring criminal charges on something stupid like this is absurd. Just like threatening to arrest the players for smoking cigars. There was a big celebration going on and with good reason. Cut them some slack.
