after watching a few unboxing vids and checking it out on reddit. you can definitely do it. there are even mount holes on the front to add intake (be it restricted or not)

but 2 exhaust up top will still help remove any stagnant heat coming off the GPU.

I read somebody getting the GPU down to 62 during warzone. which is definitely above average for aircooled rigs.

my personal suggestion would just be run it open on the side until you buy a cheap case to move everything into. but some people will never want to venture into that side of things and I understand that.

Appears to be an Asus Rog Strix branded one (not sure on the model) but they have their own cases for pre-builts.

based on the hardware and price. its a great deal. I'd just run it with the glass panel off and make sure to clean it often. dust is really not a big deal when you keep air duster handy at all times.

for gaming purposes, its simply not worth it.

the 3090 was never meant to be a gaming flagship. its a multi-tasking card meant for heavy memory usage.

the differences between the two in gaming benchmarks are almost negligible. at $300 more, you're paying about $100 per frame on popular titles.

that money could definitely be used on other hardware rather than a 1-2% frame increase on "some" games imo.

I dont understand why they didnt stick with the format they used for the 3080Ti Launch last month.

It was a bit unusual, but because the truck delivering the GPUs was running late on launch day, they let you walk into the store, sign up for a voucher, which card you wanted, and the next morning, they literally opened the doors at 8 am and we all quietly, and in a very organized fashion, purchased our cards. I think everyone was out of the store by 8:30 and nobody waited in line at all.

It was the smoothest hardware launch i've seen or heard of since this debacle began.
