I was shocked at how professional the pregame search was until my wife pointed out they were Secret Service officers.

The secret service was confiscating things not listed on their own list of banned items, frick them

So everyone is concentrating on the butt slap but not him handing Jefferson a stack of cash right in front of a camera?

Better yet, first home game next year during all of the excitement of the new season, I'd like to see you walk up to one of the guys on horses or working traffic and slap them on the arse and see what happens.

Found a cop!

And one that doesn't understand context. Yeah, a national championship celebration in a locker room is totally the same as slapping a random police officer on the street. Totally the same dude.

Come on guys - the criminal complaint is really just a precursor to the civil complaint.

This guy will get $100k to just walk away. Or Odell can become a sex offender or something else bizarre.

The charges probably won’t really go anywhere. I think it’s more to prove a point. Just because you’re an NFL star, it doesn’t make you above anyone. For the record, I think the cop handled the whole cigar issue poorly. Instead of confronting the players, he should have talked to a coach, an admin or someone with the support staff. I wasn’t there, so I don’t know exactly how it all played out, so I can only make assumptions.

Yeah, honestly they should.

In a city where we dire shortage of resources in police departments, DA's offices, and court personnel we absolutely need to pick and choose.

The DA could let him off , happens all the time if they want . Don’t tell me if his best friend , wife , family , whoever he wants to can be let off . I’m conservative and 60 years old . Just tell them to cool it with a big smile cause we just won a national championship and be a chode.

I saw OBJ running around all over the place after the national championship on the field. Slapping people. Unhinged. Honestly I thought he might get arrested on the field. All before the locker room craze.

By law, he can't.

DA's & judge's are still bound to the use of common sense in these instances too. Common sense tells you despite it being done in stupidity that it was a joke & that the "victim" was not physically harmed.

This is dumb. The security guard should have turned around and laughed. Then took a selfie with OBJ.

There has been concentrations on both. But one involves simple battery that law enforcement officials can act on whereas the other involves something the NCAA can potentially do something about.

From what I read OBJ was acting like a punk the entire game..If I was LSU I would ban him from the sidelines and the lockeroom.
I would not want him to have any contact with current players at all....as far as I'm concerned he is an embarrassment to the university

I’ll admit I’m a little surprised at this board rushing to defend OBJ, especially considering his behavior Monday night.

Any of us do what he did, we are getting arrested. He’s not special.

I guess because he’s a former tiger we’ll defend his actions no matter what. Perhaps this can serve as a wake up call to him

A normal person would do that I think.

There are lot of people who are not defending his actions.

I heard similar from people on the sidelines.

Maybe he should have been escorted out the building if it was that extreme.

We aren't defending what he did. We're saying arrested him is way overboard.

No we wouldn't be. The guy is pressing charges for an eventual civil suit to go after money. I don't have money.

If this wasn't on video, nothing would be happening.
